- Cole Hamels went 8 full innings allowing only 2 ERs with 7 strikeouts.
- Polly doubled in Jimmy in the 3rd.
- Two run homerun by Mayberry in the 4th.
- Chooch doubled in Jimmy in the 5th.
- A RBI groundout by Hunter and a two run homerun by Chooch in the 8th capped off our scoring.
- So Chooch had 3 RBIs today and made a sweet defensive play. You know what that means? VOTE FOR HIM
Freddy Galvis has a fractured back.
Phillies doctors diagnosed the injury as a Pars fracture, which would require a minimum of six weeks in a brace – though no surgery.
“It’s serious,” assistant GM Scott Proefrock said. “It could keep him out for a considerable amount of time.”
Galvis will have a second opinion on the diagnosis next week, but odds are he’ll be lost for at least the next two months, and potentially longer.
